Why Maventra exists
A short account of where this work came from and what continues to drive it.
WALL LABEL — ORIGIN
Started by people who had already made the mistakes
Maventra began as informal conversations between reporters who kept running into the same problems — how to write honestly about a neighbour, how to grow a readership without exhausting themselves, how to protect years of work from a single bad month.
Those conversations eventually became something more structured: a small practice offering the same kind of grounded, practical advice, but available to anyone who needed it, not just whoever happened to be in the room.
We remain small on purpose. Every session is still held by someone who has done the reporting themselves, not a general consultant reading from a template.

We would rather take an extra week to give considered advice than rush something that does not hold up under pressure.

If a question sits outside what we can responsibly advise on, we say so plainly rather than guessing.
